Twin Cities Housing Numbers Continue to Improve

According to Regional MLS data released today, total active listings of existing, single-family residential real estate continued to move downward. Through May, active listings in the 13 county metro were down 6.0%.

Average days on market for closed home sales were also down, at 78 for June 2008 vs. 81 days one month ago.

New listings continued to slow at an increasing pace.  During the month of June new listings declined a very healthy 13.25%, and since January are down by 11.4%.

These are all said to be clear signs of market stabilization.
